FAQ

About Our Breeding Program

How often do you breed your dogs?
We breed selectively and intentionally. Our dogs are never overbred, and each pairing is carefully planned with health, temperament, and longevity in mind.

Where are your puppies raised?
Our puppies are raised in our home and on our property in Northern California. They are exposed to everyday household sounds, people, and age-appropriate stimulation to help build confident, well-adjusted puppies.

Puppies & Placement

How do I get on your puppy list?
We require a completed puppy application and a conversation to ensure our puppies are a good fit for your home and lifestyle. Approved families are placed on our puppy list.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit is required to hold a place on our puppy list. Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price.

Are deposits refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable except under specific circumstances outlined in our contract. Please review our contract carefully before submitting a deposit.

Can I choose my puppy?
We evaluate each puppy’s temperament and personality and work with families to make the best possible match. While preferences are considered, we reserve the right to place puppies based on what is best for the puppy and the family.

Do you guarantee color or gender?
No. Color, markings, size, and gender cannot be guaranteed.

Q: What paperwork will I receive when I take home a puppy?
You will receive written documentation that includes the puppy’s birthdate, registration information, vaccination history, and breeder contact details. This helps ensure transparency and compliance with California’s consumer protection laws.

Pickup, Visits & Policies

When can puppies go home?

Can we visit the puppies?
Visits may be allowed by appointment once the puppies are older, subject to health and safety considerations. We reserve the right to limit visits to protect our dogs and puppies.

Do you ship puppies?
Yes. We have experience safely shipping puppies by air and are happy to work with families who choose this option both in the USA and Canada.

Which airports do you ship from?
Our closest airport is Sacramento International Airport (SMF).
We can also ship from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) when needed.

Who is responsible for arranging the flight?
The puppy buyer is fully responsible for:

  • Selecting and booking the flight

  • Ensuring airline requirements are met

  • Arranging any layover care, if applicable

We are happy to coordinate timing once flight details are confirmed.

Who provides the airline kennel?
The puppy buyer is responsible for purchasing an airline-approved kennel that meets the airline’s size and safety requirements.

What are your airport drop-off fees?
We charge the following transportation fees:

  • $150 for Sacramento (SMF) drop-off

  • $300 for San Francisco (SFO) drop-off

These fees cover travel time and handling and are due prior to drop-off.

Do you guarantee airline travel or flight outcomes?
No. Once the puppy is checked in with the airline, we are not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, or travel-related issues. All airline travel is at the buyer’s risk and responsibility.

Important Shipping Note

Shipping is an optional service provided as a courtesy. All terms and responsibilities related to shipping are outlined in our contract and must be agreed to prior to final payment.

Do you guarantee temperament?
No. While we breed for stable, sound temperaments and provide early socialization, temperament is influenced by genetics, training, environment, and owner involvement.

Are Labradors good family dogs?
Labradors are active, intelligent dogs that thrive with structure, training, and exercise. They are not low-maintenance dogs and require time, commitment, and consistency.

What training do puppies receive before going home?
Puppies receive early neurological stimulation, social exposure, and age-appropriate handling. Formal training is the responsibility of the puppy buyer.

Do you offer support after pickup?
Yes. We are always available for questions and guidance, and appreciate staying in touch with our puppy families.

Final Notes

Purchasing a puppy is a serious, long-term commitment. We reserve the right to refuse placement if we feel it is not in the best interest of the puppy.
